Artist Website and Food Blog Website Design
Kathy Miller Time
Combining artist website design with food recipe blog design is a very interesting undertaking. Kathy Miller approached us with her idea in early 2017 – she was already a successful artist and her hobby as a food blogger had grown to become extremely popular as well. After multiple initial discussions we were really excited to learn that she accepted our proposal over other top website design agencies in Jacksonville.
Our research phase included learning all about Kathy and her goals, and discovering that including being an exceptional artist, she really does cook outstanding recipes and takes her own photos for the recipe blog posts, and she manages the website all on her own.
Food Blog Website Design
The food blog portion of her old website was using a WordPress plugin which pulled in recipes that she added to a 3rd party website. For her new website, we developed a food recipe custom post type which included a “Print Recipe” button that would print only the recipe ingredients and instructions without any website styling, background, or needless images. Each recipe also includes a checkbox for “Featured” to enable that recipe to display on the homepage slider at the top of the homepage.
You really should check out her website, I bet you’ll want to print at least 4 recipes you see in the first 30 seconds!
