Amanda Kenney – Wakefield, MA

Author website design is particularly fun as it gives us a chance to employ creative styles without the concern of broad appeal which is always present when trying to grow a business.

This custom WordPress website design was inspired by the artwork of Amanda Kenney’s first book, “Dragon’s Heart” which was published while Amanda was still in school. Background design elements, fonts, icons, and accents help transport visitors to the mythical land “Occorom”.

While the website is certainly promoting the book, its primary function is as a blog for Amanda. The website can manage eCommerce through WooCommerce but rather than manage orders and fulfillment, Amanda and her father chose to promote book sales through Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
